Target the wet areas.

Where conditions allow, floor-drying mats and controlled drying help remove moisture while the boards remain in place.

Check the surrounding materials.

Water at the edge of a floor can reach baseboards and walls. We check those areas as part of the same assessment.

Card 1 of 3

Get the floor checked before deciding to replace it.

Step 1

Tell us what happened to the floor.

Call 24/7. Tell us where the water came from, when you noticed it, and whether the boards have changed shape.

Step 2

Review the drying options.

Your First Responder assesses the affected area. We explain whether drying in place is an option or whether materials need removal.

Step 3

Track the drying progress.

Once the work is agreed, the crew sets the equipment and monitors moisture readings. Drying and later floor repairs are separate decisions.

Drying can help preserve a floor. It cannot save every floor.

Serving Cleveland and Northeast Ohio
The type of flooring matters.
Solid wood, engineered wood, laminate, and vinyl do not respond to water the same way. We assess the actual material and how water reached it.
A dry surface does not tell the whole story.
Moisture may remain below the finish or in surrounding materials. We use readings to track progress through the drying process.
Some boards still need repair or replacement.
The water source, exposure, and condition of the materials affect what can be saved. Refinishing and permanent floor repairs are performed by flooring professionals.
Common questions

A few things you may be wondering.

Can a water-damaged hardwood floor be saved?

Sometimes. It depends on the material, water source, exposure, and condition of the boards and subfloor. We assess the floor before recommending drying in place or removal.

Do floor-drying mats work on every type of flooring?

No. We choose the approach for the material and the conditions. Hardwood, engineered wood, laminate, and vinyl need different assessments, especially when water has reached underneath.

Will drying fix cupping or buckling?

Drying addresses moisture. It does not guarantee that distorted boards will return to their original condition. Permanent repairs or refinishing may still be needed after assessment and drying.

Do you sand, refinish, or replace the flooring?
